From Negativity To Positivity

One of many reasons why successful people are so successful is because they have the ability to see things in a positive light.

Negative, unsuccessful people often get caught up in obstacles and are more prone to thinking that they cannot do something. But successful people see the same situation as another opportunity and have faith that something can be done.

Of course none of us are super heroes who can do everything and anything. We all have a set of skills and abilities and limitations. Being realistic is not only about realizing what we can’t do, but also understanding what we can do in the situations that we find ourselves. The difference between negative and positive attitudes is whether you focus on what you can’t do or on what you can do in your given circumstances.

When life gives you lemons, do you just struggle with the sour taste or do you search for a way to make that sour taste work for your taste buds?

Anyone can change from a negative mind to a positive mind. The positive, Universe mind is your original mind, your hidden potential. Let’s uncover that hidden, positive mind by cleansing away the negative.

The Life of Man is a Dream

“Last night, I dreamt I was in a battlefield. Gunfire was coming from all directions and all of my fellow soldiers were killed. I decided to flee and hide, but in order to do so I had to run to the mountains fifty miles up ahead. Having been shot in the left leg, I began limping towards my destination. Not realizing that I was dreaming, the pain I felt seemed so real. All night long, I dreamt of running around, limping in the battlefield amidst a shower of never-ending gunfire, until finally, as I reached the mountains, I was shot by the enemy. At that moment, I woke up from my sleep and realized that I was not in a battlefield; there had been no gunfire, nor had I been shot. The dream was an illusion.” –Woo Myung, from World Beyond World

Quote001

Let’s wake up from the dream world of our mind and start living in the true world. The stories of our lives happened, but that doesn’t mean we have to let the record of these stories take up space in our mind. When you let go of these dream-like records of your life story, you will find true peace, clarity, and wisdom that enables you to live your life rather than survive it.

Maryland Meditation

5 Things to Know when Meditating

1. Meditation is not instant gratification
A single meditation session may uplift your mood and bring your mind at ease. However, if you do not remove the roots of that mind, the effects will only be temporary. It is when you meditate step by step that the root cause of the mind will disappear. You will then be able to live with a true mind, which is the fundamental purpose of meditation itself.

2. Meditation Requires effort and patience
The life you have lived so far is incomparably longer than the duration you get to reflect on while meditating. This means that when looking on at your life, often it will require much patience and effort. The effects of meditation are directly related to how much time and passion you invest doing it.

3. Do not follow that somebody, follow the method.
When you are solving difficult mathematics, it isn’t the help of others that allows you to solve the problem, it is the formula. The meditation method may be a simple formula but the effects and changes people undergo are different for everyone. The meditation process that people undergo is unique for each person so don’t compare yourself to someone else.

4. Be honest with yourself.
There are people who cannot be honest with themselves when they meditate. Be truthful to your current state and the process of change will occur. If you are having difficulty in knowing yourself, it may be helpful to consult with a Helper the meditation center. Helpers are meditation experts who have spent numerous hours meditating and consulting with many people. When you honestly express what you feel in your mind, it is easier to meditate and you will be able to find and empty out more minds.

5. Meditate anywhere, anytime
Meditation can be done anywhere and can be easily incorporated into your daily life. On your way to work, when you’re getting ready for your day, during lunch, on your promenade, in front of the stop light, at the grocery store, there is no place where you can’t meditate. When you meditate to clean out your mind, you can see what minds still reside within you and you can better understand how you are spending your time by reflecting back. It is through this process that you can change and develop.
